THE AWAKENING
Two bodies lay, outstretched
like angels, two strangers.
Harvesting eachother-
They Ploughed through territory
And Ripped through boundary,
claying with claws,
through flesh, grass and moss.
They had been ghosts before
knew nothing of meaning-
She walked out- flesh free
and closer to being.
As the sun rose,
deckchaired infidels sat
with ignorance due
Of the pleasure
we came to know and knew.
